He's well known for his portrayal of Detective Curtis Lemansky on the American drama The Shield, Butch "Burner" Barnes in Pensacola: Wings of Gold, Detective "Ham" Dewey on Saving Grace, and Dominique Luca on the CBS series S.W.A.T. He's had a number of recurring roles on TV series including Sons of Anarchy, Prime Suspect (US), Chicago Fire, Bates Motel, and Secrets and Lies.
