Growing up as an only child, she is the centre of attention and affection, but also of pressure and high expectation. Her parents urge her to get marry and start a family, but she rebels. Her experience as a bicultural kids and rejection of traditional gender norms inspire her to create stories about identities, generational trauma, and women.
