Peli continued to shape the franchise as a writer and producer on multiple sequels, establishing Paranormal Activity as one of the genre’s most enduring modern series. Peli later served as a producer on the Insidious series*, helping establish one of the most influential supernatural horror franchises of the 2010s. Widely credited with bringing minimalist realism and audience-driven immersion back to the forefront of horror, Peli remains a foundational figure in contemporary found-footage cinema.
