The New Gidget is an American television sitcom that aired in syndication from 1986 to 1988. The series was produced by original Gidget series producer Harry Ackerman and was launched after the television movie Gidget's Summer Reunion starring Caryn Richman as Gidget aired in 1985. Richman would go on to reprise the role of Gidget in the series.

Gidget starts a campaign to save a local park after it is ordered destroyed by the planning board, which Jeff is a part.

Danni attempt to finish a household chore list in order to go on vacation to Balboa.

Jeff perseveres with his monotonous workout in the ball cage with the ""old standard pitching machine"" but wishes he had a real human being to challenge him. Being that it's Jeff & Gidget's 8th wedding anniversary, Gidget exhaustingly tries to get the most amazing gift of obtaining professional baseball pitcher Jerry McGibbon (Jeff Yagher) to pitch to Jeff.

Gail's band delights a children's birthday party as their first 'gig'. During the party, Danny joins the band bringing vocals and sparks an interested talent-scout from a TV show (Rock Hunt), which progresses the band to audition. A musical metamorphosis starts to take place in the band so that it leads ""some"" of the band members down a selfish, uncompromising path that excludes the only band member who really has the composing talent, Gail.
