21st April 2012During 1930s Minguo in the nation's capital, opera performer Xiao Jun Sheng is arrested for the murders of five women at the peak of his career after a witness, Master Na, claimed to see him at one of the crime scenes. Jun Sheng is subsequently poisoned in jail with his death made to appear as a guilt-driven suicide, and his wife is forced to flee with their two young children.
