Overview: The prime suspect of MEI’s misfortune, CHOI comes under fire from FA and MAN, who demand him to leave the Home. CHOI has no means to defend himself. MAN is troubled by MEI’s case, and her distrusts in CHAK and NICK surprise even NICK himself. CHOI pours his sorrows to NICK. NICK believes his innocence. CHOI is involved in a drink-driving accident. FA comes to his help and they reconcile. NICK urges MAN to view the whole thing objectively. MAN takes MEI to see a psychologist. MAN understands her distress as she suffered a similar trauma in her childhood. GORDON tells MAN that as the hope of a promotion shatters, he can no longer afford the mortgage. She offers her help. GORDON is moved. MEI meets CHUNG again. Losing her control, she runs wild, with MAN and NICK giving chase. MEI confides in MAN and in a moment of insanity, she slashes MAN with a knife. MAN passes out.
