Overview: HU thinks that the whole matter is now settled and ends his investigation into the case. He joins KWOK's news agency and works as a reporter. In order to win HU's love for her, CHING attempts to commit suicide. Instead of arousing HU's concern for her, HU is not touched. AU urges CHING to strive hard for achievement instead of feeling desperate. He encourages her to impress HU with her achievement in business. CANDY's father is sacked as he frequently makes mistakes. in his work. Out of impulse; he wounds the editor and threatens to hurt KWOK. Luckily, HU comes in time to stop him. In the end, CANDY 's father is sent to prison and this greatly saddens CANDY. HU asks ' TSE to offer help to CANDY in order to impress her who in fact remains untouched by TSE's kindness and sincerity. CANDY's brother, SEA, runs into heavy debts and is caught by loan-sharks.
