Overview: In view of their brotherly relationship, Ma Yung let Chen go. Chen Hua and Shu-chuan escape to Wu-shek. While Shu-chuan works in a soil factory, Chen Hua works as a helper in an opera performance group. Chen Hua is grateful to Shu-chuan and they get married. The leader of the Smuggling Investigation Unit, Ah Gi, blackmails Yung-siang for a larger bribe. Yung-siang refuses; Ah Gi makes life difficult for him and confiscates his goods.
