Heathcliff is an animated TV series that debuted on October 4, 1980. It was the first series based on the Heathcliff comic strip and was produced by Ruby-Spears Productions. It ran until September 18, 1982 with a total of 25 episodes, under two different names.

In order to gain the leadership of the neighborhood's position, Spike frames Heathcliff of stealing fish from a local fish mart.

Dingbat tries to claim his inheritance from his great uncle, Barren Von Batt, but Dingbat's evil cousin Wombat also wants that inheritance to claim for himself. The competitors must stay in a castle overnight.

Dingbat and the Creeps are abducted aboard the alien ship by a alien named Rishan, who needs to examine the Earthlings.

Heathcliff is watching on TV football footage from today's match, where Heathcliff was the mascot of the "Detroit Tabbys" while Spike represents as the mascot of the rival team "Brooklyn Bulldogs".

Heathcliff is Robin Hood - the most wanted noble brigand, who saves Sonja and the good people of Sherwood from the local taxpayer, Grubs the Dogcatcher.

The Creeps take the job to receive a rare pygmy elephant for the safari explorer.

A person named Bowser searches for a rare dog breed to win a contest. He stumbles upon Dingbat and captures him to his dog pound, thus Sparerib and Nobody try to break their friend out.

At the Fish Mart, Mr. Schultz is having to conversation with someone in the phone for them to deliver fish, but they are not able to, Mr. Schultz runs out of fish quickly due a certain cat that can eat faster than they could deliver, Mr. Schultz hangs up the phone and decides to close the shop and go fishing to replenish the fish in his store.

After Mrs. Nutmeg takes Heathcliff to the bakery, the feline protagonists craves on eating a cake.

Dingbat and the creeps get hired as fitness trainers. Their first task is to help an obese lady to lose weight, but it ends up as a failure.
