Guy Martin transforms road vehicles into custom racers and takes on fellow enthusiasts from across Europe on some of the continent's most unusual tracks. The first episode comes from Sweden, where Guy transforms a Volvo estate to compete in the national motorsport of Folk Racing, a super-competitive form of rallycross, at the Vasteras Motorstadion.

Guy plans to create a racing version of a Piaggio Ape - the tiny three-wheeled vehicles that are ubiquitous across Italy. While these vehicles were never designed with motorsport in mind, he discovers a racing scene based around them has sprung up in Italy, with drivers customising their Apes with motorcycle engines and improved suspension.

Guy transforms a Land Rover Defender into an off-road racer capable of reaching 100mph. He puts his creation through its paces on a gruelling six-mile course in Wales, which he is determined to complete six laps of - but as torrential rain turns the roads to mud, simply staying on track is challenging enough.

Episode 4

Guy Martin transforms a vintage and extremely rare East German Trabant, which proves to be the slowest vehicle he has ever worked on. With a little advice from one of Europe's top Trabant racers, Guy enters his creation in a historic classic car race at Brands Hatch.
