Baantjer is a Dutch television programme which was broadcast by RTL 4 from 6 October 1995 until 1 December 2006 for a total of 123 episodes in 12 seasons. It stars Piet Römer as Jurriaan 'Jurre' de Cock, a police detective, and Victor Reinier as Dick Vledder, his helper. The series is based on the novels of writer A. C. Baantjer. In 1999, RTL 4 broadcast the television film Baantjer, de film: De Cock en de wraak zonder einde because of the tenth anniversary of the network.

De Cock and the rest of the team are shocked when a young police officer is strangled during an open day at the police station. A reporter appears to know more about the murder.
Episode 2
De Cock and his team investigate the murder on an art director at a company making TV commercials.
Episode 3
An old man shows De Cock the body of a boy, encased in cement. The man murdered the boy 19 years ago because he raped his daughter. De Cock is frustrated because the murder happened too long ago to allow prosecution. The next day, the old man himself is found murdered.

Episode 5
After a biker club member crashes in a tunnel and dies, it is discovered that the bike was sabotaged. The man's father accuses the club leader.
Episode 6
De Cock and his team investigate the death of an old lady who appears to have been pushed down the stairs.
Episode 7
A notary shows De Cock a video in which a client tells that he has been murdered by his wife and her lover. When De Cock asks how long the man died, the notary reveals that he is still alive.
Episode 8
De Cock and his team investigate the murder on a celebrity, and discover a connection to the trade in forged art. Also, the man's wife was having an affair. Vledder tries to get Prins to come with him to a wedding as a witness.

De Cock and his team investigate the murder of a young visitor in a gay disco.
Episode 10
De Cock and his team investigate the death of a Turkish college student, who appears to have been pushed out of her living room's window.

De Cock and his team investigate the murder on a Head of Surgery at a hospital.

De Cock and his team investigate the murder on a white supremacist.

De Cock and his team investigate the murder on a pimp at the Red Light District.
