I'd Do Anything was a 2008 talent show-themed television series produced by the BBC in the United Kingdom and broadcast on BBC One. It premièred on 15 March 2008. The show searched for a new, unknown lead to play Nancy and three young performers who will take it in turns to play Oliver in a West End revival of the British musical Oliver!. The show, named after the song "I'd Do Anything", was hosted by Graham Norton with Andrew Lloyd Webber again overseeing the programme, together with theatrical producer Cameron Mackintosh. In January 2008, John Barrowman confirmed he would be taking part in the show. The BBC also confirmed in late February 2008 that Barry Humphries would join Barrowman and Denise Van Outen on the judging panel of the show. Auditions for the show began in January 2008, with the show airing on BBC One throughout March, April and May 2008. In the final, on 31 May, Jodie Prenger was announced as the winner of the series.
Episode 1
The audition process begins to find a Nancy and Oliver for the West End show Oliver.
Episode 2
The chosen Nancy contestants attend Nancy School where they are judged on their singing and acting skills and finally they are whittled down to just 12 contestants. The final 12 boys are also chosen to perform in the live shows and compete for the role of Oliver.
Episode 3
This is the first live show of the series where all the Nancy contestants perform a song for them to stay in the competition.
Episode 4
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show.
Episode 5
The second live show of the series where the remaining 11 Nancy contestants perform a song for them to stay in the competition. This week they try to sing a song that will show a different side to them. Also features a group performance by all the Oliver contestants and another one of the semi-finalists is revealed.
Episode 6
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show.
Episode 7
The remaining 10 contestants will sing to stay in the competition.
Episode 8
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show.
Episode 9
The remaining 9 contestants sing to stay in the competition.
Episode 10
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show. Another Oliver semi-finalist will also be announced.
Episode 11
The remaining 8 contestants sing to stay in the competition.
Episode 12
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show.
Episode 13
The remaining 7 Nancy contestants sing to stay in the competition and another Oliver makes it through to the semi-final.
Episode 14
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show.
Episode 15
The remaining 6 Nancy contestants sing to stay in the competition and another Oliver makes it through to the semi-final.
Episode 16
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show. Also features group performances by the Nancys and Olivers.
Episode 17
The remaining 5 Nancy contestants sing to stay in the competition and the final Oliver makes it through to the semi-final.
Episode 18
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show. Also features group performances by the Nancys and Olivers
Episode 19
The Semi-Final: The 4 remaining Nancy contestants sing for a place in the Final of the competition. Also the three winning Olivers will be revealed.
Episode 20
The two contestants with the lowest votes from the public are revealed and must sing a song together to fight for their place in the competition. It is then decided by Andrew Lloyd Webber who is eliminated from the show. Also features group performances by the Nancys and Olivers.
Episode 21
The Final: The 3 final Nancy contestants (Jodie, Jessie and Samantha) sing for the role of Nancy in the West-End production of Oliver!, with the decision completely down to public votes.
Episode 22
It is finally revealed which contest will play the role of Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh's production of Oliver! as the results from the public vote are announced.
