Nihal sadly witnesses Adnan and Bihter's quarrels. Adnan cannot understand what Bihter was doing in Deniz' room. Bihter feels cornered when Behlül changes his mind at the last minute not to go away with her. She immediately calls her mother so that she can get the letter Bihter wrote for her husband before he can read it. Adnan wants Behlül to be an important part of his firm and sends him to Azerbaijan with Nihat for business matters.

The rumor that Behlül might have had a fatal accident in Azerbaijan brings the Ziyagil family in dismay. Much to everyone's delight Behlül is still alive. After hearing parts of a phone conversation, Nihat suspects that Behlül has an affair and therefore wanted to get back to Istanbul as quickly as possible. His wife Peyker realizes that the woman could be her sister.

Besir witnesses a long-haired woman, whom he mistakes for Nihal, and Behlül kissing on the balcony. Only Deniz realizes that Behlül and Bihter were kissing each other in the middle of the night. Besir openly confronts Behlül with what he saw. Peyker, on the other hand, confronts Bihter with her suspicion. However, she believes that the attraction is one-sided, namely that Behlül alone is interested in her sister.

Behlül accompanies Nihal to her high-school graduation ball, where she graduated with honors as second best. The drunk Bihter calls Behlül to tell him that she loves him. An astonished yet happy Behlül returns her feelings.

Nihal faints in the middle of her examination and is unable to finish it. Behlül ends his engagement with Elif. After an unsuccessful attempt to meet in a hotel, Behlül and Bihter sleep with each other in the garden house. As it turns out, they weren't unobserved.
