Episode 1

School's Seven Mysteries Murder Case (学園七不思議殺人事件 Gakuen Nana Fushigi Satsujin Jiken) is the first episode of the fifth generation of the TV Drama series The Files of Young Kindaichi, based on the story arc of the same name. In this episode, the Mystery Investigation Club of Fudo High School tries to find the seventh mystery of their school. Nobody knows the seventh mystery because the legendary Afterschool Magician would kill anyone who knows it. One day, the Afterschool Magician killed the Head of the Mystery Investigation Club. Hajime Kindaichi and the other member of the Mystery Investigation Club try to find the truth.

Sacred Love Island Murder Case, also known as Seiren Island Murder Case (聖恋島殺人事件 Seiren-tou Satsujin Jiken), is the second and the third episode of the fifth generation of TV Drama series The Files of Young Kindaichi. It adapts the story arc of the Sacred Love Island Murder Case from the Returns Series. In these episodes, Hajime Kindaichi, Miyuki Nanase, and Ryuta Saki invite by Inspector Kenmochi to assist him on a fishing tour at Seiren Island. When they arrived, the murder happened committed by a legendary Siren, the Sea Monster, that lived on that island.

White Snake Sake Brewery Murder Case (白蛇蔵殺人事件 Shirohebi Gura Satsujin Jiken) is the fourth episode of the fifth generation of TV Drama series The Files of Young Kindaichi. It adapts the story arc of the White Snake Sake Brewery Murder Case from the Returns Series. In these episodes, Hajime Kindaichi, Miyuki Nanase, and Inspector Kenmochi came to Hakuja Village to chase the fugitive murderer. There they meet the suspicious black-masked man, but later, he is found dead at Shiragami's Shirohebi Sake Brewery Cellar, and his condition resembles the curse of the White Snake.

Toilet of Hanako Murder Case, also known as Hanako-san Murder Case (トイレの花子さん殺人事件 Toire no Hanako-san Satsujin Jiken), is the fifth episode of the fifth generation of TV Drama series The Files of Young Kindaichi. It adapts the story arc of the Ghost School Murder Case from the Short Case Series.

Murder Committed by Young Kindaichi (金田一少年の殺人 Kindaichi Shounen no Satsujin) is the sixth and the seventh episodes of the fifth generation of TV Drama series The Files of Young Kindaichi. It adapts the story arc of the Murder Committed by Young Kindaichi from the File Series. In these episodes, Hajime Kindaichi, Ryuta Saki, and Inspector Kenmochi came to the Birthday Party of Goryu Tachibana, a non-fiction writer. There Tachibana was dead, and Hajime became the prime suspect. Hajime tries to catch the "Invisible Enemy" while the police chase him.

It adapts Hida's Trick of House Murder Case story arc from the File Series. In these episodes, Hajime Kindaichi, Miyuki Nanase, and Inspector Kenmochi came to Tatsumi Family Residence to investigate the threatening letter sent by the Head Hunter to Shino Tatsumi, Kenmochi's old friend. The Head Hunter tries to kill the Tatsumi family's successor, Shino's son, Seimaru Tatsumi. Could they prevent the murder and catch the Head Hunter?

Murder by The Phantom of The Opera (オペラ座館ファントムの殺人 Opera Zakan Fantomu no Satsujin) is the ninth, tenth and final episode of the fifth generation of TV Drama series The Files of Young Kindaichi. It adapts the story arc of the Opera House The Third Murder from the New Series.
