Big Boys is a silly, sweet comedy about two boys from very different ends of the “spectrum of masculinity” who become best mates at Brent Uni Freshers Week 2013.
Episode 1
With a newly dead dad and a bad perm, shy closeted teen Jack is finally leaving his potty-mouthed mum Peggy for a Journalism degree at Brent Uni. Paired up to live in a campus outbuilding with lads' lad mature student Danny, these two mis-matched freshers go on their first big night out.
Episode 2
Jack and Danny try to find their individual crowds during Freshers Week whilst being banned from partying in halls. A night out with fashion student Yemi leads to them both getting far more than they bargained for.
Episode 3
It’s Christmas at Brent Uni as first years are encouraged to create work for Jules’ Sexual Health Awareness Week Showcase. Meanwhile, Jack and Danny both try facing up to their own sexual shortcomings.
Episode 4
A still grieving Jack tries to become more like his infamously adored Dad, Corinne attempts to loosen up and Danny conducts an experiment with the help of campus dealer, Ash. Down the local pub, the results cause some very messy outcomes for all involved.
Episode 5
A frustrated Jack attempts to lose his V-plates, meanwhile Peggy is being encouraged by a pushy Shannon to get back on the romantic market. Yemi campaigns to stand for LGBTQ+ society president, whilst Corinne tries to help Danny get back on his feet.
Episode 6
Jack moves back home for the summer holidays, desperate for Danny to get in touch after his disappearance. After a chaotic family lunch celebrating his homecoming, Jack and Peggy return to the house with a series of surprises, testing their inseparable bond for the very first time.
