Jessie is an American 1984 ABC television police drama series starring Lindsay Wagner as a psychiatrist. It originated as a 1984 television movie. The series was based in part on the book "Psychologist with a Gun".
Episode 1
Dr. Jessie Hayden, a psychiatrist, begins a new job with the police department. She finds herself on a murderer's hit list when she realizes that he has been lying during an interview about a crime of which he is suspected.
Episode 2
Jessie jeopardizes her job to help a battered woman, while Ascoli pursues The Streak, a box-office bandit-turned-killer.
Episode 3
Jessie wants Kit Parnell, an undercover policewoman who is a former centerfold model, pulled off a case when she sees signs of extreme stress. Ascoli refuses to do it.
Episode 4
A bomb blast at the health club used by Jessie's mother triggers a search by Jessie and Ascoli for a group of '60s radicals from the college that Jessie attended.

After being badly burned while on the job, a cop (Brauner) comes to terms with his predicament with the help of Dr. Hayden (Wagner).
