Episode 1

Secrets of the Third Reich looks at the rise and fall of German General Erwin Rommel whose victories made him one of Hitler's greatest assets, but who honor made him one of Hitler's enemies. It looks at Rommel's early life, his victories in North Africa, his defense of the Atlantic Wall, and his later involvement in the 20 July plot.

Episode 2

Secrets of the Third Reich examines the mental health and the excessive amphetamine use of Adolf Hitler. It looks at his relationship with his doctor Theodor Morell who was despised by other physicians and blamed for the Fuhrer's mental deterioration.

Episode 3

Secrets of the Third Reich examines the story of the German submarine U-513 which was lost for sixty-eight years after it was hit by a U.S. bomb. It looks at rare footage and talks to U-boat veterans and looks at the life of captain Friedrich Guggenberger who survived the sinking. It also looks at the effort to locate the wreck of the submarine.

The battlefields of the Second World War have been analyzed countless times, but it wasn't just fought in large scale battles. A fair portion of the Second World War took place in secret, behind enemy lines, and with very high stakes.
