The new neighbor starts a war over Mama Malone over bag of trash in the hall, but it comes to a head when he's accused of being gay.

Episode 8

After Mama Malone declines neighbor Calvin's invitation to the dance, Nedda offers to go with him. Meanwhile, Connie lands a date with a quarterback, Dino tries to land a part in an opera, Frankie works at the bowling alley.

Dino claims that he's suicidal because he was booed off stage, but it turns out there's a secondary reason for his blues.

Sister Philomena reveals that Frankie scored high on his aptitude test and encourages Connie to transfer him to a public school in Manhattan.

Episode 11

A woman shows up at the taping of the show claiming to have been invited by Dino, but it gradually becomes apparent that she's not playing with a full deck.

A Call from the Vatican

Episode 12

Mama throws an 80th birthday party for Padre Guardiano, and has tried to finagle a phone call from the Pope.

Episode 13

Mama attempts to do a serious cooking show after learning that her family's won a prestigious award, but she loses her temper when they start goofing around.

She never gets to properly instruct viewers on her recipes because friends and family members keep interrupting her show.
