A Family Situation

Episode 1

The high-spirited Sorrentino family sit down to a Sunday night dinner when Marc announces that Mike will be working a shift at their family-owned tanning salon. Who wouldn't want to see "The Situation" cleaning toilets!? Tensions rise as the brothers find that working side-by-side can take a toll on their relationship. Mike and Marc are able to set aside their differences when they take newly engaged little sister Melissa to try on her dream wedding dress. And while Melissa begins the journey of starting a new life, she has demons to deal with which linger from Mike's years of addiction. She and Mike sit down with Mike's life coach to talk about the toll his behavior took on the family, Melissa in particular.

A Brand New Situation

Episode 2

After Linda (aka Peaches) is caught coming home late from a night out clubbing, Melissa decides it's time for her to start taking dating more seriously. While Linda meets with a professional matchmaker, Mike is taking some guidance of his own from a life coach. Mike takes the advice to heart but also elicits the assistance of his brother Frank. Frank gives his two cents in helping Mike break his "Situation" stigma by introducing him to seersucker jackets and volunteering to be his manager.

A Dramatic Situation

Episode 3

Melissa realizes it's time to set boundaries with her family as she struggles to get some alone time with her fiance. Mike meets with an acting coach and shoots a reel with the help of his brother Frank.

An Awkward Situation

Mike starts to question his relationship with Lauren as he starts taking steps to advance his acting career. Marc takes a DJ gig in Florida, leaving the responsibility of the new salon in Melissa's hands.

Mike challenges Marc to bring in new customers to the tanning salon, but Marc's ideas are anything but orthodox. Meanwhile Frank gets the surprise of his life... Sleep Away Camp (his childhood claim to fame) is being re-released on DVD.

For his birthday, Frank takes the entire family on a weekend retreat. But his attempt at family bonding, turns out to be a "challenging" affair.

Mike has his first big film audition. But with his career riding on this opportunity, will he crack under the pressure? Meanwhile Frank and Linda plan a surprise engagement party for Melissa and her fiance Michael Sussman.

Mike moves into his new house and, to help him deal with the stress, Lauren gives him an experience he'll never forget. Meanwhile, Marc and Melissa realize opening a second tanning salon is more demanding than they anticipated.

Frank and Mike try to resolve their differences after a disagreement leads to an arrest at the family tanning salon. While Marc plays the mediator between his brothers, Melissa and Linda worry about Mike's aggressive behavior.
