Episode 1

On a perfectly ordinary day in January 1966 at Odendaalsrus, two cousins go swimming at the municipal swimming pool. By dusk they are still not home, and a large-scale search is launched.

The family and community are deeply shocked by the horrific events. Issie's brother feels responsible for the tragedy. The local police station is not up to the task of investigating the case.

Captain At van Wyk leads the investigation. The nieces are buried, and André swears an oath to catch the culprit. A family member is brought in for questioning.

No evidence links the family member to the murders. André joins the police. In 1984, the Niggies case is reopened after new information comes to light. André is involved in the investigation.

Episode 5

A suspect is investigated. André's obsession with the case causes conflict with his parents and family. Gustaff's relationship with his family reaches a low point.

Episode 6

The investigation is in a race against time, as the suspect is due to be released on parole soon. Criminals are targeting André's family. The suspect's parents are being questioned.

Episode 7

An informant close to the case is murdered. André’s family remains in danger, and André himself goes undercover as a prisoner in jail to extract a confession from a suspect.

The inmates grow suspicious of André’s presence, and his life is in danger. André gains the suspect’s trust, who admits to being involved in the rape and murders of the cousins.

Episode 9

Finally, the mystery of what happened to the cousins is solved. The suspect is arrested and found guilty. André is reunited with his family and relatives.
