Jesse James is a Dead Man is an American TV series features motorcycle customizer Jesse James doing ostensibly death-defying stunts. The title is a play on the name of the outlaw Jesse James. The show premiered on Spike on May 31, 2009. "Quest for 200 MPH", the last episode to be aired as of August 2010, ran in September 2009.

Jesse James attempts the toughest off-road motorcycle race in the world. To prepare, Jesse will become a human shock absorber and hydroplane his bike across 60 feet of water. However, a severe training accident threatens to keep him out of the race, and may even keep him from riding ever again.

Air Racing WWII-era fighter planes is the fastest motor sport in the world. Jesse James is going to take the controls of one of these beasts, and attempt to break its record of over 300 MPH. The only problem is that Jesse doesn't know how to fly a plane.
Episode 10
Jesse James attempts to set a personal land speed record of 200 MPH in the Mojave Desert. First, he has to build a vehicle capable of handling such dangerous speeds; then he has to prepare for the worst-case scenario by escaping from a burning vehicle before it explodes.
