Lawrence Leung's Unbelievable is a six-part Australian television comedy series, starring and primarily written by Melbourne comedian Lawrence Leung and produced by Unbelievable Productions. In each episode, Leung—a self-confessed sceptic—investigates a type of paranormal phenomenon such as psychics, ghosts, UFOs, magic and psychological manipulation. In the final episode, Leung conducts an elaborate experiment to attempt to turn a sceptic into a believer in the paranormal.
Episode 1
Lawrence sets out to discover if psychic powers exist. Lawrence encounters Australia's best psychic, an American who can drive a car blindfolded, and ultimately transforms himself into a psychic to try to win a million dollars.
Episode 2
Lawrence's investigation into the spirit world takes him on a thrill ride filled with spooky castles, Scottish ghost hunters, sances, spontaneous vomit and Patrick Swayze. But will he find a ghost?
Episode 3
From UFO hunting in Roswell, New Mexico to launching his own unidentified object into the sky, Lawrence goes boldly to where no man has gone before to make contact with aliens.
Episode 4
Magicians are masters of deception, but how do you fool a master magician? Lawrence learns the tricks of the trade from Las Vegas magicians, pickpockets and neuroscientists on a quest to create the ultimate 'magician-fooler'.
Episode 5
Lawrence presents a user's guide to how we are manipulated, persuaded and deceived without us knowing it. This episode features liars, cheats, poker players, and at long last reveals the truth about Joe the Cameraman.
Episode 6
Filmed with hidden cameras, Lawrence's final investigation tests the boundaries of rationality by confronting an unsuspecting individual with increasingly unbelievable experiences. Can Lawrence turn a sceptic into a believer?
