Episode 1

Laura Del Fiore is a separated mother of two children, Emanuele and Nina. Their life is peaceful until Paolo Giorgi, a widower, moves in with his teenage daughter Cristina. The two families, with opposing habits and tastes, end up hating each other. Paolo has lost Laura's phone number and desperately searches for a way to find it, while she disconsolately awaits his call. Fortunately, her colleagues from "Tu Donna" step in to resolve the situation. But will the magic of their first meeting help them come to terms with the discovery that they are each other's hated neighbors?

Episode 2

After discovering they're neighbors, Paolo and Laura, advised against it by their best friends, decide not to continue dating. The situation is exacerbated by Emanuele and Cristina's constant clashes at school, which even end in front of the principal. Attempts at apology and reconciliation seem to fail miserably, and Laura ends up accepting a dinner invitation from Sergio, Nina's teacher. Paolo and Laura have been secretly seeing each other for ten days, but they still haven't managed to make love. Both would like to, but, confused by Monica and Michele's well-meaning advice, they're afraid to take the initiative, and when they finally decide, they can't find the right place.

Episode 3

Paolo and Laura are now a steady couple, even though they continue to hide from their children, piling up excuses and lies. However, Cristina accidentally catches a glimpse of her father kissing his neighbor and is shocked, so much so that she tells Emanuele, who begins to investigate. To improve the situation on the landing, Laura decides to organize a dinner with Paolo's family, but things don't go exactly as hoped: Emanuele extends the invitation to his grandparents, the sweet Mario and the cruel Clelia, and Cristina invites her elderly aunts Filomena and Sofia. Laura herself also expands the number of guests, inviting Monica and her sister Stefania, a woman sui generis, and Paolo, who brings his friend Michele. With all this confusion, the dinner turns out to be a complete fiasco.

Episode 4

Laura and Paolo finally manage to sleep together for the first time, but Emanuele and Cristina do everything they can to complicate the situation. Cristina, gripped by a fit of intense jealousy, begins to see the ghost of her neighbor's wife. Paolo, too, must confront a ghost from his past: Laura's ex-husband, Riccardo Balestrieri, a successful writer, is returning to Rome for Christmas and will be staying at the Del Fiore house. Laura's reassurances are useless; her new man doesn't seem to like it.

Episode 5

Christmas is approaching, and Paolo suggests spending it with Laura, but Riccardo's arrival has thrown all her plans into disarray, especially since Riccardo is planning a little chat with Emanuele on December 25th. Paolo, fed up with Laura's ex-husband and disappointed by his behavior, takes offense. Emanuele can't accept his father's revelation and refuses to speak to his parents. Even Paolo, after an initial moment of euphoria, begins to wonder why Laura has kept this truth from him for so long.

Episode 6

Emanuele is increasingly in crisis and is starting to have problems at school. Clelia suggests a psychologist, but Paolo advises Laura to be patient. After a day in the countryside with Grandpa Mario, things seem to have settled down, but the next day, Emanuele secretly waits for Peter, Riccardo's boyfriend, hits him on the head with his helmet, and runs away. Peter is rushed to the hospital, while Emanuele disappears without a trace. Paolo also disappears, for just one night, and it's all because of Natascia, who, faking a car breakdown, locks him in a country farmhouse for yet another futile attempt at seduction.

Episode 7

Laura still can't believe it: she's expecting a baby. Locked in the newsroom bathroom for yet another pregnancy test, Monica becomes suspicious, and it doesn't take long to realize the result is positive. It's amazing news, but it sends her into a state of crisis. Paolo and Laura have decided to move in together, but they don't know how to tell their children. And they don't even know how they'll take the news of the pregnancy. Between Laura's nightmares and Paolo's obstacles, neither of them can talk to Cristina or Emanuele, but time is running out and the baby bump is growing.

Episode 8

Paolo, Laura, and the kids begin to experience the joys and challenges of their new life together as one extended family. Meanwhile, Giulio and Stefania plan their surprise wedding, and Paolo's aunts, after discovering their terrible cooking, decide to take a cooking class. Cristina can't believe that Davide Palmieri, the most handsome boy in school, has fallen in love with her, and tries to keep her relationship a secret from Paolo, fearing his overprotective father's reaction. When Paolo discovers the two outside his house, however, he responds in a completely unexpected way.

Episode 9

The occupation is now in Emanuele's hands, and he's becoming a point of reference for the entire school: a unique opportunity to assert his identity among his classmates after years of anonymity. For Cristina, however, the occupation is offering another opportunity: to sleep a night with Davide. And to make love with him for the first time. To have more time with her Davide, Cristina asks Emanuele to extend the occupation by a day. Monica is overjoyed with her relationship with Ermanno and would like to arrange a threesome with Michele to thank him for arranging the meeting. But he has realized he loves Monica and wants to refuse.

Episode 10

Laura must confront a terrible reality: she has lost her baby, while Paolo, desperate, doesn't know how to console her. Suspicious, Monica asks Ermanno to reveal the whole truth about their encounter and discovers Michele's involvement. Depressed, Laura no longer leaves the house except for walks with her young daughter, and thanks to an encounter in the park, she is convinced to return to the editorial office, where she discovers, by chance, that her sister Stefania is pregnant.

Episode 11

Laura is in crisis, and Paolo seems oblivious, continuing his life as if they hadn't lost their baby. When she explodes in front of her partner and the gynecologist, the two begin a furious argument in which Laura blames Paolo for what happened. Their relationship seems to have reached its end, as does that between Cristina and Davide. Just as a damp patch spreads in the Del Fiore-Giorgi household, looming over everyone's heads, the crisis between Paolo and Laura worsens, shattering their relationship. The only solution the two can find is to rebuild the broken wall and each return to their own apartments.

Episode 12

Paolo and Laura return to living in separate homes. Cristina is in Rome and Davide is in Athens. Cristina, Emanuele, and Nina are no longer siblings, and Michele and Monica are separated: nothing is going as it should. And Paolo only makes the situation worse. Laura hates Paolo because she's convinced he cheated on her with Natasha and does everything she can to avoid meeting him. Regretting what happened, Giorgi finally realizes his feelings and decides to ask Laura to marry him. Meanwhile, Del Fiore and Riccardo spend a night of passion, unaware of Peter, Paolo's American partner.

Episode 13

As wedding preparations are underway, Laura is very nervous: should she reveal to Paolo that she cheated on him with Riccardo? Monica and Riccardo advise her not to ruin the moment, but the night before the wedding, she confesses everything. Paolo apologizes, but he just can't bring himself to marry Laura: he keeps imagining her in bed with Riccardo. So he leaves, leaving her at the altar. Laura can't believe it: she goes into a kind of hysterical fit, but then she has no choice but to surrender to the evidence.

Episode 14

Paolo and Laura have decided to move in together, but they don't know how to tell their children. And they don't even know how they could take the news of the pregnancy. Between Laura's nightmares and Paolo's impediments, neither of them is able to speak to either Cristina or Emanuele, but time is running out and the baby bump grows.

Paolo, Laura and the boys begin to savor the joys and problems of the new coexistence as a single extended family. Meanwhile, Giulio and Stefania organize their surprise wedding and Paolo's aunts, after discovering that their cooking is bad, decide to take a course to learn how to cook.

Cristina can't believe that Davide Palmieri, the most handsome boy in school, has fallen in love with her, and tries to keep her story hidden from Paolo, whose overprotective father's reaction she fears. When Paolo discovers the two at home, however, he responds in a completely unexpected way.

Just as in the Del Fiore-Giorgi house a damp spot expands, looming over everyone's heads, so the crisis between Paolo and Laura worsens, shattering their relationship. The only solution the two can find is to raise the demolished wall and each return to their own apartment.

Laura hates Paolo because she is convinced that he cheated on him with Natascia and does everything possible not to meet him. Repenting for what happened, Giorgi finally realizes his feelings and is determined to ask Laura to marry him. Meanwhile, Del Fiore and Riccardo spend a night of passion unaware of Peter, the man's American companion.

While the preparations for the wedding are in full swing, Laura is very agitated: should she or shouldn't she reveal to Paolo that she has cheated on him with Riccardo? Monica and Riccardo himself advise her not to ruin the moment but, the night before the wedding, the woman confesses everything about her.

Episode 26

Paolo apologizes, but he just can't bring himself to marry Laura: he continues to imagine her in bed with Riccardo. So he leaves, leaving her at the altar. Laura can't believe it: she gets into a sort of hysterical fit, but then she can't help but surrender to the evidence of it.
