The Bazura Project is a comedy show about the history of cinema, written and presented by Shannon Marinko and Lee Zachariah. It originally ran on Australian community television from 2006 to 2008, and on ABC2 in late 2011.
Episode 1
Shannon and Lee dissect how violence has been depicted on the big screen, from bizarre censorship notes to its ubiquity in kids' films, and then teach you how to create your very own violent scene.
Episode 2
Shannon and Lee ogle at how sex has been explored throughout cinema, looking at censorship, metaphor, and the transgressive, then instruct the viewer on how to create their very own sex scene.
Episode 3
Shannon and Lee calculate how the suits with the cash have influenced artistic expression, and teach you how best to create your own successful blockbuster.
Episode 4
Shannon and Lee gosh darn examine how profanity has been expressed in movies, from made-up swears to the worst of all blasphemy, and instruct you on how best to use profanity in a film.
Episode 5
Shannon and Lee stare blankly at drugs through the ages, from historical depictions of heroin addicts to cigarettes in the age of political correctness.
Episode 6
Shannon and Lee gaze through the looking glass at fame throughout film history, from the earliest movie stars to the most recent celebrity-seekers, and how they've affected what's on screen.
Episode 7
After rounding up the usual suspects, we instruct you on how to save money at the movies, speak to director Sarah Watt about subverting expectations, and look at the semi-fictionalised Idi Amin biopic The Last King of Scotland.

After an older show tries to seduce us, we dive deep into the Academy Awards in this special Oscar Special special. We look at Oscar trivia, explore the path a film navigates through awards season, instruct you on what to do if you ever find yourself attending the Oscars, and compare predictions for the big night.
