Overview: Satake's friend from university and his girlfriend come to Kyoto and share the news that they plan to be wed soon, but they don't plan for the sudden appearance of his mother, a no-nonsense innkeeper who has no intention of letting her son marry his fiancee. When Kyoka sides with the mother, can Satake convince her that his friend's girlfriend (a young woman whom Satake was once in love with, too) is innkeeper material as well as a proper bride?
