Episode 1

Marion Wienesse is on the coast when she witnesses an accident involving a kitesurfer, blown by a strong wind gust at an apartment block. Prime Minister Hans Kreuger present at the ceremony of the famous violinist David Stein, who stopped after the death of his wife, when he is called upon to go to the command center. In Belgium, the Prime Minister decided to evacuate parts of West Flanders in Ostend because the Spuikom threatens to overflow by an imminent storm. The coastal regions of Belgium and the Netherlands flows quickly now that the levees are broken. Quiet After the Storm

Episode 3

The first damage is recorded the day after the storm: the water is 2.5 meters high in the coastal area and tens of thousands of people are missing. While Prime Minister Kreuger is being evacuated by helicopter to Apeldoorn, those left behind in the disaster area must bring themselves to safety. The old Mr. Stein has offered shelter to young Kimmy, but their food and water are running out quickly. Later in prison, insurgents build a raft for their escape. Sonja and Manu go on a rubber boat in search of Femke, food and medicine. But in the extinct Oostende they find nothing but looters and corpses.

Episode 4

While Ronnie and Samir are still trying to escape the flooded Rotterdam on their raft, Prime Minister Kreuger is already working on the reconstruction. He travels to Brussels to negotiate the distribution of European emergency aid. The plan that his Belgian colleague Verbeke presents is completely wrong with him. The pressure on the coalition, and on Kreuger, is increasing. Meanwhile, Marion can barely cope with the uncertainty about the well-being of husband and daughter.

Episode 5

Both Ronnie and Samir are on their way to their families on dry land. Now that refugee relief is organized and family members find each other, a thank-you day is being held. Preparations are also in full swing on Willem and Madelief Wienesse's farm. But although the storm is long gone, Marion's relationship with Robert is still in difficult weather. In addition, tensions run high between Marion and Madelief. The water disappears and the future is slowly looked back: Ronnie wants to go abroad with his family and Stein goes in search of Kimmy with news about her mother. When Marion and Robert decide to stay together for their daughters, Naomi and Britt both indicate that they want to continue somewhere else. Now they are faced with the choice of what their future, together or alone, will look like. Kreuger is developing a revolutionary future plan for the Netherlands. Although he has many opponents, Kreuger is determined to follow his heart and intuition this time. Samir does not see a single future. It becomes increasingly clear to him: the prime minister is responsible for his loss.
