Episode 1

At the invitation of Pisti Hufnagel, the Mezga's and Maris neighbour leave for Sydney, Australia. A happy arrival will soon turns to be a nightmare. Pisti Hufnagel is nowhere to be found and the police are circulating for embezzlement, so uncovered tickets are also confiscated. But where will they sleep?

The land of fortune

Episode 2

The Mezga's and Maris neighbour do not have any money left so they have to look for job to support themselves until they get a word from Pisti Hufnagel. They experience a series of failures in this matter, and although Pisti does not turn up, a letter from him does. This came from his companion Samek informing him that he had traveled to America and asked him to send the Mezga’s there as well. So head to sunny Florida ...

On the top of the ice

Episode 3

The Mega's and Maris neighbour are sailed in the South Pole instead of sunny Florida on a freight ship. They are hosted by a Norwegian research team, but they have to provide the food themselves. But it is not that easy to live on ice! Then the hope of escape shines, they just have to hide in animal skin ...

The uninhabited island

Episode 4

Although they escape from the South Pole, the poy transporters are unloaded on an uninhabited island at the behest of the captain. They have drinking water in the paradise environment, and thanks to the Aladár slingshot, their bellies will also be full of many delicious bites. Later Maris neighbour turns up again and the invaders are driven out of the island together, but there is no escape from the volcanic eruption and the tsunami ...

From one bucket into another

Episode 5

As a result of the volcanic eruption, the island sinks, but on a small reef island, Mezga’s and Maris neighbour eventually escape. Indigenous people find them and transfer them to another island where they are trapped by the dictator and insurgents. They are freed by an American millionaire, but prosperity is soon running out ...

The captain with glass-eye

Episode 6

Mezga's and Maris neighbour are taken captive by the mafia in South America and ransom is needed for them. Maybe Pisti Hufnagel can pay, but someone needs to get to America to let him know. The glass-eyed police captain who is the the boss of the thugs sends Paula and Kriszta to Florida, but what will happen Geza and Aladar? And what about neighbour Maris? Meanwhile Pisti Hufnagel organises a fundraiser in America for the benefit of the hostage Hungarians.

In the net of Humpack Bill

Episode 7

Paula and Kriszta have no idea that they enjoy the hospitality of a mafia leader, Humpback Bill, in the States. Meanwhile, Geza, Aladar and Maris neighbour are again imprisoned by the glass-eyed captain, and they are still staying in South America. However, Aladar's escape plan is successful, and they escape in a garbage truck, and a Maris neighbour escapes in a supply car. Pisti Hufnagel disappears with the collected ransom, therefore Humpack Bill has other plans with the Hungarian ladies ....

One million dollars

3rd August 1980

Episode 8

Paula and Kriszta go back to free Geza and Aladar with the $ 1 million. The money, of course, didn’t come from Pisti Hufnagel, Humpback Bill wants to get the suitcase of fake dollars across the border. However, the events turn out quite differently, and eventually the suitcase goes on an adventurous journey to Geza and Aladar. What a coincidence! They all fall into the middle of a movie shoot, even Maris neighbour ...

Buried alive

Episode 9

Geza Mezga and his son, Aladar, escape from the shooting location with a hot air balloon, so the big meeting is missed. But the money is gone too, because Geza accidentally throws it out of the basket. Paula pays Maris neighbour with the dollars she has left, and because the many $ 100 bills makes her suspicious, they disappear with Kriszta. It is too late because Interpol is already on their trail due to the counterfeit money. Maris neighbour is captured first but Paula and Kriszta are being observed. They are allowed to travel to India so they can be followed ....

Episode 10

Geza Mezga and Aladar disappear with the hot air balloon in India, where they are captured by the Great Miracle Worker Jagudar. However Paula and Kriszta find and release them. But the family is now being knocked out by Interpol for the fake dollars. Fortunately, it turns out at the trial that all five Hungarian victims were just tools in the hands of the mafia. However, they must leave India. In the absence of money, there is no other option, they sign up as mercenaries in South Africa. Episode 11

Celebrated as a hero, the Mezga's, led by Maris neighbour, holds a press conference on the exposed terrorist organisation. Meanwhile, a letter arrives from Pisti Hufnagel, meantime had advanced to oil sheikh, who inveigles them to Oasis Camel. The plane, which is already on its way home, is hijacked by Mezga's and lands in the desert. However, oil is nowhere ...

Episode 12

Pisti Hufnagel persuades them again and steals the plane so Mezga's and Maris are left alone in the desert. Help arrives at the last minute. After hospitalisation, they will be guests of a cordial French shipowner who will finally take them from Africa to Marseille, Europe. But kindness comes at a price, luckily that Aladar is sensible ...

Finally at home

Episode 13

From the police reward money, Mezga's and Maris neighbour spend a pleasant time on the French Riviera in Nice. Géza wants to try his luck at the casino, roulette, he dreamed of a red 29. And indeed, that number is the winner! Geza wins a huge sum in the company of Paula and Maris. However, winners leaving the casino are knocked down and robbed. All their money are now gone. In Paris, they receive documents at the consulate so that they can finally travel to Hungary. But more surprises await them at home ...
