World in a Hat

10th September 1971

Episode 1

When Mark lands in Lidsville, the bad hats mistake him for a spy and take Him to Hoo-Doo, the evil magician of Lidsville. Hoo-Doo makes Weenie Genie take him to the dungeon. Mark explains to weenie about the real world, and they plan to escape Hoo-Doo's top hat. Soon they are suspended over the shampoo river, and are rescued by twirly, the good beanie, and are taken back to the good hats.

Show Me the Way to Go Home

17th September 1971

Episode 2

When an old map with a golden ladder on it is found, everyone thinks its a way oyut of Lidsville. While mark , Weenie, and Colonel Poom set off to find the ladder, Hoo-doo decides that the good hats must be punished. Hoo-Doo and his minions decide that hats fear stomping, so Hoo-Doo breaks out Big Daddy. Big Daddy is a blow-up image of Hoo-Doo. When Mark, Weenie, Colonel Poom fail to find the ladder, they come to find their friends almost being stomped. They pop the blow up thing, and save the day.

Fly Now, Vaccum Later

24th September 1971

Episode 3

To escape from Lidsville, Weenie conjures up a flying carpet. When Hoo-Doo catches wind of their plan He makes a giant vacuum. When Mark tries out the carpet, he's sucked in by the giant vacuum. Now in Hoo-Doo possesion, He makes Mark walk off the top of his top hat home. When the carpet comes to Weenie, He saves the day by catching Mark before he walks off the plank. When Hoo-Doo attemps to stop them He falls off the plank instead.

Weenie, Weenie, Where's Our Genie?

1st October 1971

Episode 4

When Weenie feels that the good hats and Mark are neglecting him, he runs away. Back at the top hat, Hoo-Doo realizes how valuable the genie was when things start to fall apart. He goes to Lidsville demanding the genie. When Weenie wont come because he is wearing ear-muffs, Hoo-Doo captures scorchy, the fire helmet, and nursie and threatens to destroy them if he doesn't get weenie.When every-one is in the top hat weenie takes off his ear-muffs and comes. Hoo-Doo makes him throw his friends in fire. When Weenie says no, Hoo-Doo plans to turn every-one into toads. Weenie pushes the mirror in front of Hoo-Doo, And he becomes a toad himself.

Let's Hear it for Whizzo

8th October 1971

Episode 5

When an old map is given to mark and weenie, they set off for the real world. Hoo-doo comes to evict the good hats for not paying their taxes. When the map turns out to be a fake, they come back to find the bad hats living in the good hats homes. When they find them, they decide to disguise mark as the great whizzo. Hoo-doo decides to have a magic duel to find out who is the greatest magician of all time. After a few small tricks, Whizzo decides to blow Hoo-doos house to kingdom come using fire crackers. Mark gets the good hats houses back.

Is There a Mayor in the House?

15th October 1971

Episode 6

Outraged that HooDoo continues to tax them,Mark,and the Good Hats decide to run one of them for Mayor.Tex is choosen.When HooDoo gets wind of their plan,he decides to run his own candidate;Mr Big.Who will win this election,and will HooDoo campaign fair?

Take Me to Your Rabbit

22nd October 1971

Episode 7

Weenie creates a rocket to help Mark escape from the land of living hats, while Hoodoo loses his zap, and his powers are transferred.

Have I Got a Girl For Hoo Doo

29th October 1971

Episode 8

Witchiepoo, H.R. Pufnstuf, makes a guest appearance on Lidsville, giving Hoodoo more than he bargained for.

Mark and the Bean Stalk

5th November 1971

Episode 9

Hoodoo kidnaps Mark and Weenie, then attempts to escape on a beanstalk to the real world to extort ransom from Mark's parents.

Turn in Your Turban, You're Through

12th November 1971

Episode 10

Hoodoo transfers Weenie's magic powers into Mark and uses the boy to do his evil bidding.

Alias, the Imperial Wizard

19th November 1971

Episode 11

Hoodoo kidnaps several of the good hat people to help prepare a party for the Imperial Wizard, but when the party is canceled, he decides to keep them as slaves. Meanwhile, Genie celebrates his 1600th birthday.

A Little Hoo Doo Goes a Long Way

26th November 1971

Episode 12

The bad hats plan to steal Hoodoo's Hatamarand to escape to the real world, but their scheme is botched and the Hatamarand winds up in Mark's grasp.

Oh, Brother

3rd December 1971

Episode 13

While The Great Hoodoo is away, his well-meaning, twin brother Bruce comes to town and tries to makes things right with the residents of Lidsville.

Hoo Doo Who?

10th December 1971

Episode 14

When Hoodoo comes down with amnesia, the bad hats convince him that he's their British butler.

The Old Hat Home

17th December 1971

Episode 15

When the Great Hoodoo is told he can't perform in a charity show, he magically ages Mark, Weenie and the good hat people.

The Great Brain Robbery

24th December 1971

Episode 16

Hoodoo takes a cue from the Pied Piper and uses a magic flute to lure the good hat people into his Brainwash Machine.

Mommy Hoo Doo

1st January 1972

Episode 17

Hoodoo's mother comes Lidsville with the notion that her son has turned to a life of good. Through a series a flashbacks, the townspeople try to convince her that Hoodoo's still as rotten as ever.

Lidsville is Sid and Marty Krofft's third television show following H.R. Pufnstuf and The Bugaloos. As did its predecessors, the series combined two types of characters: conventional actors in makeup filmed alongside performers in full mascot costumes, whose voices were dubbed in post-production. Seventeen episodes aired on Saturday mornings for two seasons, 1971–1973. The opening was shot at Six Flags Over Texas.
