Love on a Branch Line is a British television adaptation of the 1959 novel Love on a Branch Line by John Hadfield. It was broadcast in 1994 airing on the BBC in four 50 minute episodes.
Episode 1
A bored civil servant decides to quit and become an artist but instead finds himself assigned to an old government research unit.
Episode 2
Jasper gets a mysterious invitation to a rendezvous and Belinda persuades him to paint a nude portrait of her.
Episode 3
Lionel almost sabotages the cricket match when he lures Jasper into the "dungeon" for a drinking binge.
Episode 4
Matilda comes down the chimney of Jasper's bedroom and tries to seduce him.
