But the two gentlemen have no idea what surprise awaits them there

A man from distant Canada comes to meet his beloved, with whom he has had a loving correspondence for a year. A married couple simply cannot handle money, is constantly in debt and has the bailiff in the house again and again. But apparently no power in the world can tear the two out of their dream worlds.
