Sad and somber, Ma Ri finishes up her painting. After watching an interview with plastic surgeon Seo Jung Won, in which he promises his work helps people find their lives back, she decides to visit him for a consultation. She fools her bodyguards and finds a way to the clinic. When she consults with Dr. Seo, Ma Ri asks him to transform her face completely.

At breakfast, In Wook's father, Kang Il Gook, shouts at Ma Ri demanding to know when she will bear him a grandchild. But when she's given herbal medicine to promote fertility, she pours it down the drain and shouts at In Wook that she doesn't want a child. Later, she escapes her bodyguards to meet with her friend who's going to fill her in about her painting winning a prize at the art exhibition.

In Wook asks Ma Ri to have dinner together, the one they were supposed to have the day before, but she can't bear the thought of it and runs away from the house. She makes her way to Jung Won's house. When he sees her soaking wet and hunched, he takes her inside. She tells him about her misery and the reason behind wanting the radical surgery and implores that he perform it. Meanwhile, In Wook hears of her disappearance and tracks her down.

She then fakes her death making sure to keep In Wook on her trail. Meanwhile, when Jung Won returns from the States, he hears of heart-breaking news.

Meanwhile, In Wook's men find Ma Ri's handbag and shoes nearby the place of her presumed suicide.

With Hae Ra's face, Ma Ri goes back to look for her bag and sees In Wook's men searching the area. She realizes that In Wook knows that she is alive finding her handbag and starts to worry. Later, she runs into an altercation with some drunk men and calls Jung Won for help. Meanwhile, In Wook and his newly hired private detective, Cheol Young, try to get a lead with the purple dress.

When Hae Ra goes to see how Jung Won is doing, she is lost for words when she sees Ha Kyung standing in front of her. At that moment, Ma Ri clues into whose face she has but doesn't blame Jung Won for doing it. She decides to leave his house. Meanwhile, In Wook and Cheol Young get down to the last two buyers of the purple dress.

Down to the last person on the list, In Wook and his private investigator, Cheol Young, enter Jung Won's residence. Trembling in fear, Ma Ri locks herself inside the bathroom. When In Wook approaches the bathroom door, Jung Won stops him. In Wook then asks to see the purple dress, and when he does, he becomes speechless.

Later, Ma Ri gets a call regarding her mother who keeps asking to see her daughter.
